The day preceding the ACI Racing Weekend at Monza has come to an end, with the collective testing sessions for both single-seater categories taking place today: the Italian F4 Championship and the FIA Formula Regional European Championship, competing in its first Italian round of the season.

The Temple of Speed welcomed the Italian F4 field with 49 drivers ready to battle in the third round of the season, representing 29 different countries and entered by 13 teams.

The day featured two two-hour sessions. The morning session was topped by Prema Racing's Romanian driver David Cosma-Cristofor, who set the fastest time of 1'52.541. Just 0.069s behind was current championship leader Alp Aksoy. Third fastest was another Prema Racing driver, Ferrari Driver Academy member Niccolò Maccagnani, 0.213s adrift. US Racing's Spanish driver Edward Robinson was fourth, 0.220s off the pace, while Van Amersfoort Racing's Thomas Bearman completed the top five at 0.

243.

The fastest time of the day, however, came in the afternoon session, courtesy of Edward Robinson, who posted a best lap of 1'52.418. Finnish driver Luka Sammalisto finished second, 0.112s behind. Sammalisto arrives at Monza after securing a clean sweep of victories in the previous round at Vallelunga. Cosma-Cristofor was third, 0.280s adrift. Fourth place went to Mercedes-AMG F1 Junior Programme driver Andy Consani of R-ace GP, 0.306s behind, while US Racing's Oleksandr Savinkov completed the top five at 0.326.

The weekend schedule features four races: three Qualifying Races followed by a Final reserved for the top 36 classified drivers.

On Friday, 19 June, the action continues with Free Practice, with drivers already divided into two groups (Group 1 from 9:28 AM to 9:58 AM, then 12:58 PM to 1:28 PM; Group 2 from 10:06 AM to 10:36 AM, then 1:36 PM to 2:06 PM). Qualifying will take place later in the day, with Group 1 on track from 5:10 PM to 5:30 PM and Group 2 from 5:40 PM to 6:00 PM. Based on the qualifying results, the drivers will be split into three groups, which will determine the grids for the first three races.

The Qualifying Races begin on Saturday, 20 June, with Race 1 (Groups B-C) scheduled for 11:30 AM, followed by Race 2 (Groups A-B) at 5:30 PM. On Sunday, 21 June, Race 3 (Groups A-C) gets underway at 9:30 AM. At the conclusion of the first three races, the top 36 drivers will qualify for the Final, which starts at 2:00 PM. All races will run over 25 minutes plus one lap and will award points towards all championship classifications.

All races will be broadcast live on ACI Sport TV, on the ACI Sport and Italian F4 Championship social media channels, as well as through the extensive international network of broadcasters covering the Italian Formula 4 Championship.
